  • The FMC-100 series Gigabit Media Converter delivers high-performance network extension over fiber optic cable, converting between 10/100/1000BASE-T copper and 1000BASE-SX/LX optical interfaces. It supports SC, SFP, and WDM connector types, with single-mode or multi-mode fiber options for flexible distance requirements. This converter enables simple, cost-effective integration of three Ethernet segment types while fully complying with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab, and 802.3z standards. Featuring plug-and-play installation, it also provides flow control and back pressure support in half-duplex mode to prevent packet loss.

     

    Ready to Use in Minutes

    The FMC-100 fiber converter supports two flexible deployment options: it can operate as a standalone unit with an external DC adapter, or be installed as a slide-in module within a 14‑slot media converter chassis. These chassis provide centralized power management, simplifying the maintenance of fiber-optic networks at a single site. Fully compliant with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab, and 802.3z standards, the converter enables quick, plug‑and‑play installation. It also features flow control and back pressure support in half‑duplex mode to prevent packet loss.
